Our hospital has advanced equipment and technologies, including comprehensive in-house testing for accurate diagnosis, digital x-ray, surgical suites, dental suites, and a pharmacy. From routine preventive care to early detection and treatment of a wide range of conditions and diseases, we have the expertise to provide the highest standard of care for your pet. We also serve Greenwood, Odessa, Fairmont Park, Grandridge, and Arbor Park.

Dr. Alan Alderson
DVM
Dr. Alderson grew up near Lubbock, Texas where he found his love of animals at an early age. He completed his Bachelor’s in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University in 1980. After graduation, he worked in Muleshoe, TX as a veterinary assistant and then later was a veterinary technician in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M. While working at the college, he was accepted into the professional curriculum and graduated with his DVM in 1986. He practiced 9 years in Sweetwater, TX in a mixed animal practice before moving to Midland. His favorite part of being a veterinarian is interacting with clients and teaming with them to reach their desired health goals for each pet. He believes that client education and being able to effectively communicate a plan are the cornerstones of serving each client well.

Dr. Idaliz Pedraza
DVM
Dr. Idaliz Pedraza was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She is bilingual speaking both English and Spanish. Obtained her Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Evolution studies in PR. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St Kitts and transferred to Ohio State University to complete her clinical year. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog Ghost, reading, exploring, playing chess, and relaxing at home.

Lead Technician
Liz has been in healthcare for almost 10 years, from correctional to family medicine. She recently discovered 2 years ago that she’s more of an animal lover than a people lover. She’s got her sidekick Rusty doing what they love. Bring your babies by, you won’t regret your experience here with our friendly faces and staff!

Tayler
Vet Technician Assistant
Native west Texan who was born with a strong passion for animals which led her to work as a vet tech for MVS starting in 2010. In 2017, she chose to explore her animal career even further and began managing a pet resort. She learned how to take pet care a step above. In 2021, with more experience and an even stronger passion for our furry friends, she is thrilled to rejoin the team and resume her position with the great staff at MVS.

Vet Technician Assistant
Raquel has been around animals her whole life. At an early age, she knew that caring for animals is what she wanted to do when she grew up. She started off working as a kennel tech and then transitioned over into a veterinary assistant. Raquel has 2 children and together they like to spend time with family and their pets.

Veterinary Assistant
Bethany has wanted to work with animals since the age of 14 so she is excited to be a part of the MVS family! She loves helping animals (especially puppies!). Bethany is currently going to school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has an amazing doggy son named Jake! Some of her favorite things to do are playing video games and learning new things.

Jade is finally doing what she loves, working with and helping animals. She grew up with exotic animals such as iguanas, snakes, sugar gliders, and her ferret, Sammy. Even though she has only been working at MVS since 2021 she has learned so much and hopes to continue learning from such a stunning group of people for years to come.
